With just two days until the Hangzhou Asian Games, attention from across Asia is focused on this vibrant and dynamic city. The 19th Asian Games, also known as the "China New Era·Hangzhou New Asian Games," will take place from September 23 to October 8, 2023.

After the Asian Olympic Council announced the postponement of the Games to 2023 in July 2022, all preparations entered a final sprint. With meticulous planning and comprehensive preparation over the past year, everything from venues and facilities to event logistics is ready for the big event.Competitive events for this year's Games include 40 sports, divided into 61 events and 481 individual competitions. Among them, 31 are Olympic sports and 9 are non-Olympic sports. Notably, two new sports have been added to the program this year: electronic sports and breakdancing, adding more excitement and variety to the Games.

This  Asian Games upholds the principles of "Green, Intelligent, Frugal, and Civilized." This principle is not only reflected in aspects such as event sustainability and technological innovation but also in urban infrastructure construction and public services. To ensure the smooth running of the Games, the Hangzhou government has invested a large amount of manpower and resources in upgrading urban infrastructure and providing reliable public services.Moreover, to involve more people in this mega event, the Hangzhou Asian Games adheres to the principle of "Hangzhou-centered, province-wide sharing." To ensure the smooth participation of all national and regional teams, a three-day Hangzhou Asian Games Delegation Leaders' Meeting was held in Hangzhou from April 25th to April 27th, attended by representatives of 45 National Olympic Committees across Asia.
